Mother Nature tends to dictate the things to do in Palisades Tahoe as well as those in neighboring Alpine Meadows. What happens, though, if you do not like or cannot handle the more intense Palisades Tahoe activities, like skiing and snowboarding? Snow tubing for every member in your family, age 6 to 12, is available. Get a Lake Tahoe high on the resort’s aerial tram as it soars to more than 8,000 feet and delivers you to High Camp. Once there, you can ski in winter and roller skate in summer. One thing to do in Palisades Tahoe that’s unlike any other is to somersault on the gigantic Sky Jump. Also accessible with the tram are tennis courts. Just a word of caution: Should you lob your ball out of the court, you might want to let it go straight down a Sierra Nevada mountainside. Other things to do in Palisades Tahoe include riding bikes, your own or rented, on specially designed trails, some along the Truckee River that feeds into Lake Tahoe. There's also Alpenglow Expeditions' Tahoe Via Ferrata, a climbing expedition for all levels of climbers, including beginners.
