Let the wind take hold and skirt around the shoreline of South Lake Tahoe when you venture out on a kiteboard. Summer and the warmer parts of the spring and fall are ideal for trying kiteboarding, one of the favorite things to do in South Lake Tahoe. You already know the lake is a recreation wonderland, so the question is how can you best access it? The Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park system is home to many beaches offer swimming areas, and these are excellent spots for getting your board in the water. South Lake Tahoe has recreation companies that offer kiteboarding rentals if you don’t have a board, and some will even provide lessons if you’re new to the activity.
