The Redlight draws on an historical background that includes, among other fascinating stories, having at one time been the Hotel Alta. And its current incarnation is just as interesting as its past. The Redlight is a hostel (the only one in the area!) with a shared kitchen and a beer and wine bar. They also offer ice cream. Set up with the high-country traveler in mind, there is bike parking and ski storage available in addition to luggage storage. The beds come with clean sheets, pillow and blankets, there is a dry sauna available and even free WiFi. The accommodations range from a private bunk with a reading light and electrical outlet all the way up through private rooms with shared or private bathrooms or a private studio suite. Traveling with a dog? It can count as a guest in the suite if it is cleared with the management beforehand.
