Pianeta Ristorante

Northern California and Northern Italy are two distinct places, but they come together perfectly at Pianeta in downtown Truckee. Pianeta’s cuisine is inspired by Northern Italy, but the ambiance of the restaurant and bar could only be found in an Old West building along Truckee’s historic main street. Along with fresh, California-inspired takes on Italian dishes there are old-world standbys including homemade pastas, ravioli and sausage paired with wines from Italy and California. The Northern California side of Pianeta shines at its bar several steps down from street level. It’s a warm, intimate space with a superb happy hour featuring wine, beer, cocktail and appetizer specials.
