Founded in 1982 as a community fundraiser, North Lake Tahoe's 10-day SNOWFEST celebration packs a punch in both fun and funds raised. The days and nights are full of activities for all ages that include parades, fireworks, snow golf tournaments, snow sculpture contests, crowning of the SNOWFEST Queen and King, races, parties, concerts, performances, kid-friendly activities, a wing-eating contest and so much more. Local restaurants, bars and businesses join the fun by hosting these special parties and fundraisers. Events are held throughout North Lake Tahoe, with the epicenter being Tahoe City. SNOWFEST draws locals and visitors for a good time and for many good causes.
