One of the most exciting ways to experience the Tahoe backcountry is by snowmobile. The Zephyr Cove Snowmobile Center offers rides for morning, noon or afternoon and even has full moon evening rides available. Machine operators must be at least 16, but children as young as 5 can ride along. Don't worry if you didn't dress for the event; the center has snow clothing rentals available too.
