Winter Wonderland Ski Shop is one of the South Shore's venerable institutions; it's family owned and has been providing snow gear for winter sports enthusiasts for nearly 50 years. Just a stone's throw from Heavenly's California Base Lodge, Winter Wonderland has rentals, including helmets for all ages as well as full-service tuning capabilities. The ski package is one of the best deals in town, and they even offer half-day rentals on some of the packages. They also offer sales of accessories such as sunscreen, hats and other sundries. In addition, Winter Wonderland has a vacation rental condo on-site. The lodging is essentially a ski chalet above the shop, large enough for eight people, and when you rent the condo you get a two-for-one special rate on ski and board rentals.
