Those of a certain age may remember Straw Hat Pizza as the fun birthday party restaurant of their youth. But in Tahoe it’s the Straw Hat Sports Bar & Grille, located in Harveys on the main casino floor. It’s still a celebrated spot, but for a slightly older demographic than pre-teens in party hats. With dozens of HDTVs, patrons can watch every NBA and NFL game, while enjoying not only the California-style pizza for which Straw Hat is famous, but also wings, burgers, pasta, sandwiches and more. Since this location is more of a sports bar than a family pizza joint, the beer, wine and cocktail menu is larger than at some of their counterparts’ restaurants.
