Nevada Beach and Campground, a part of the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, is a great place to camp at Tahoe. The site possesses a forest of pine trees set back from the water and is usually serene compared to other Tahoe beaches. Visitors with or without RVs can pay to use the overnight campground, which offers barbecue grills, picnic tables, fire rings, restrooms and drinking water. Pets are allowed, though in the campground area only. Nevada Beach is also a nice spot for day visitors, and its woodsy nature makes it perfect for a relaxing walk on the beach or on the walking and biking paths that connect it to the Lakeside Inn and to Zephyr Cove. This beach is located right down Elks Point Road from the Round Hill shopping center. Campfires and charcoal are not allowed at Nevada Beach and Campground, but you may have a gas stove with a valid California Campfire Permit, obtainable online.
