Nevada Beach and Campground, a part of the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, is a great place to camp at Tahoe. The site possesses a forest of pine trees set back from the water and is usually serene compared to other Tahoe beaches. Visitors with or without RVs can pay to use the overnight campground, which offers barbecue grills, picnic tables, fire rings, restrooms and drinking water. Pets are allowed, though in the campground area only. Nevada Beach is also a nice spot for day visitors. Its woodsy nature makes it perfect for a relaxing walk on the beach or on the walking and biking paths that connect it to Rabe Meadow and Round Hill Pines. This beach is located right down Elks Point Road from the Round Hill shopping center. Seasonally, kayak rentals and a food concession are onsite. A large group pavilion is available for rent. Portable gas grills area allowed, but no wood or charcoal.
