Up at the top of Kingsbury Grade, one expects to find mountaineering supplies or a ski shop. Instead, this short drive up the mountain leads to the area's knitting boutique called the Knitting Nest, a little shop whose owner teaches knitting at the local community college. Located inside the Eagles' Nest on Needle Peak Road, the boutique carries knitting supplies and kits, specialty needles and yarns and crochet supplies. There are also books, bags and gifts related to knitting. Given its location at the top of the ridge, you may want to call ahead to be sure that the shop is open during periods of inclement weather.
