Hotel Azure

For location, it's hard to beat Hotel Azure (formerly known as the Inn by the Lake), particularly now that they have just completed a multi-million dollar renovation. The inn is just across the street from Lake Tahoe, and the scenery is spectacular, including lake views from the fitness room and many of the units. The amenities include a wide range of room sizes, an outdoor pool and hot tub (with multiple levels), WiFi, seasonal use of bicycles or snowshoes and barbecues in the picnic area. Dogs are permitted with an additional fee. The facility's events center is a great choice as a location for a wedding reception or even the ceremony with the main room facing Lake Tahoe and presenting a particularly picturesque sunset.
