Like its neighbor across the street to the north, Harrah’s gets its name from its former owner. Bill Harrah opened Harrah’s Stateline Club in the ‘50s, and right from the beginning great entertainment was a top priority. The biggest performers of the day, right through to the present, have played the legendary South Shore Room. These days, the nightlife at Harrah's includes Cliché Lounge and PEEK Nightclub and, of course, the casino floor offers gaming excitement around the clock. Food options range from food-court fare like Fatburger to casual and buffet dining clear on up to high-end restaurants such as Friday’s Station, whose name is a nod to the nearby historical Pony Express remount station. Harrah’s has an indoor pool, a spa, a hair salon and on-site shops selling jewelry, clothing, sports gear and apparel.
