Many of Tahoe’s restaurants have views of the lake, but only a handful can honestly be called lakefront. The Artemis Lakefront Cafe is one of these select eateries, located in the Ski Run Marina adjacent to the docks and with lake views from both the dining room and the outdoor dining patio. Serving Greek and Mediterranean dishes, this is a 2014 spin-off site from the Artemis Mediterranean Grill on Lake Tahoe Boulevard. The popularity of the original business prompted owners Brian and Angela Lukes to expand at the same time that the marina was looking to add a new restaurant to the facility. Inside it’s a cozy dining room with an atmosphere to match the food. Outside, the rustic timber architecture and pet-friendly patio are pure Tahoe. The menu at the cafe presents freshly prepared and locally sourced foods, including vegan and gluten-free options, and the must-try appetizer is the house-seasoned fries with Artemis dipping sauce. They also offer a full espresso bar and a wide selection of wines, beers and cocktails.
