Taqueria La Mexicana opened on March 27, 1997 soon after the Rodriguez family purchased the market in 1996. They brought their authentic recipes from their taqueria in Norwalk, California that made them so successful. Tahoe locals instantly began to notice the fresh ingredients and authentic dishes and Taqueria La Mexicana quickly became the locals’ favorite for fast, affordable, and authentic Mexican food.
