22 Bistro is one of the first restaurant/bar options that you encounter when walking off the slopes and coming into the Village at Palisades Tahoe. One fun aspect of 22 (as it is affectionately known by locals) is that it caters to both higher-end tastes with a fine-dining menu while at the same time offering an array of quick-food options and après-ski drinks. Their outdoor seating is excellent for people watching, and it makes an easy-to-find meeting point. 22 offers summer and winter menus; one item that is included on both, and highly recommended, is the 22 Bistro Burger. Another benefit of 22 is their catering department that can accommodate large and small parties as well as weddings. The restaurant closes during the slow season of late October to mid-November.

With its spot on the main corner of downtown Truckee, Bar of America’s location alone draws people through its doors. Sure, the historic red brick building and large windows are authentically inviting, but...read more
