Our purpose is to educate on matters including personal responsibility, civic duty and political activism. We also promote women's participation in elected office.

Sagehen Creek Field Station is a research and education facility of the University of California at Berkeley, founded in 1951. The station is embedded in the Sagehen Experimental Forest.

Since its founding in 1936, Sierra College has focused on quality instruction and meeting the needs of the communities that it serves.

With approximately 125 degree and certificate programs, Sierra College is ranked first in Northern California (Sacramento north) for transfers to 4 year Universities, offers career/technical training, and classes for upgrading job skills. Sierra graduates can be found in businesses and industries throughout the region.

Our award-winning faculty members enhance their teaching with research, authorship and industry expertise. We are also recognized nationally for excellence in our athletic programs.

Action is in our DNA. Everything we do is dedicated to moving lives and learning forward, to engaging students and helping them become confident, collaborative critical thinkers who are uniquely prepared to thrive in the real world. Specifically, we aim to...

- Provide funds for students pursuing training in skilled professions not requiring a 4 year degree, such as construction and manufacturing trades, coding/IT admin, nursing and healthcare technicians, veterinary technicians, truck and heavy equipment operators, etc.

- Award multiple scholarships monthly to new skill, up skill and re skill youth and adults

- Enable Americans of every background to have meaningful employment and a successful career 

- Address rising unemployment, skill-based worker shortage and the stigma of trade-based careers

- Impact through SkillPointe scholarships and co-branded scholarships with measured outcomes
