As volunteers for this non profit 501(c)(3) organization, we are stewards of a number of unique physical assets. The TDHS invites you to join with us in the preservation and maintenance of these irreplaceable historical venues, and at the same time have lots of fun in the process discovering our Truckee, California heritage. Our mission is to discover, procure and preserve whatever may relate to the aboriginal, natural, civil, literary, and ecclesiastical history of the Town of Truckee and surrounding area.  Our vision is to preserve and protect the history of Truckee. We are a small group of very dedicated volunteers who love Truckee and its rich history, and who continue to serve in whatever capacities are required to continue our mission.

Truckee Lutheran Presbyterian Church (TLPC) is a church of both the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We seek to touch the whole person, body, soul and spirit with God’s empowering love, as we also reach out to care for those in need in our community and the world. Following Jesus’ example, we strive to be his “hands and feet” in the Truckee Tahoe community. We welcome everyone to worship with us as we journey together in God’s amazing grace.

We identify, coordinate, fund and implement restoration, prevention and monitoring projects directly related to the health, beauty, and economy of the watershed. Combining ecological principals and a deep understanding of our region’s values, we focus on the root causes of threats to the Truckee River watershed.

We are a non-profit Christian thrift store, formerly the Presbyterian Women's Thrift Shop, serving our community with clothing, home goods, furniture, sporting goods, books and games at affordable prices. 100% of our profits go back into the community and missions. Founded 50 years ago in 1971, we expanded our location last fall to approximately 4,000 square feet and welcome you to visit our shop. Stop in for shopping and prayer.
