With its location at 7,910 feet mid-mountain at Northstar California, Zephyr Lodge commands great views of the Sierra. And being a ski resort, access to the lodge is ski- or ride-in during the winter. From its 17,000-square-foot floor plan and 700 seats, the lodge is set up for fast dining. Expect creative and fresh California-style takes on pizza, soup, sandwiches and adult beverages. And for those who hate standing in line, there is access to 26 additional on-mountain restrooms. Get to Zephyr Lodge via the Zephyr chairlift, Backside Express, Promised Land Express or Comstock Express lifts.
