If you’re visiting Truckee-Tahoe and don’t have time to get a workout on the surrounding slopes and trails, The Shire Studio may be just the place for you. Instructors will lead you and a small group through a total body workout aimed at increasing core strength for skiing, cycling, yoga and life in general, using isometric movements set to music. While exercises are low impact, the result of the workout definitely is not. Those interested in trying a class must register online to make a reservation. Open gym at The Shire Studio gives you the freedom to train on your own schedule in a welcoming, community-driven environment with the equipment you need. Classes are available for adults and youth.
