Sticks Market

If you haven't been to the Donner Pines Market in the past few years since it became Sticks Market, you may be in for a surprise. It has gone from rustic to rustic chic, and you'll find more organic foods and craft beers – lots of craft beers – than Cheez Whiz and fishing lures (although that's not to say that they don't still also carry a decent selection of old cabin staples in addition to the newer high-end products and produce). There's also a nice focus on local items such as the Truckee Sourdough bread used in the wildly popular handmade sandwiches.
