At more than 130 years old, River Street Inn exemplifies Truckee’s Old West roots. On the banks of the Truckee River and a stone’s throw from the original (and still used) alignment of the Trans-Continental Railroad, the inn’s location remains central to the town much more than a century after it was built. Today River Street Inn serves as a centrally located bed and breakfast perfect for using as a base camp to explore the Truckee-Tahoe area no matter what season. Along with a cozy community living room and a dining room where breakfast is served every morning, the inn has 12 recently remodeled rooms with private bathrooms, queen-size beds with down comforters, and flat-screen TVs. The inn also offers a family suite that can accommodate from four to six people as well as a large apartment. River Street Inn is also home to 1882 Bar & Grill.
