Pope House Museum offers a look at how the wealthy lived in the beginning of the 20th century. A fully furnished and accessorized home of the Pope family, the house allows guests to see the luxury that was afforded the few who enjoyed the romanticized Tahoe lifestyle. In addition to being filled with historical artifacts, the museum tour is also full of fun stories describing the goings on of the rich and famous of Lake Tahoe. A part of Tallac Historic Site, Pope House is only open in the summer from Memorial Day weekend until the middle of September.
