The Downtown Truckee Arts and Crafts Festival is a delightful opportunity to indulge in Western-influenced creations. This Lake Tahoe annual event invites you to explore the original works of artists and craftspeople from all around the West. Shop and browse the artists’ wares as you walk through Historic Downtown Truckee on Bridge Street, where they’ve set up stands and vendors. Enjoy photography, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, paintings and more. You even have the chance to meet and converse with the very artists who made them. In between appreciating the masterpieces, you can visit the boutiques and shops dotting the road or grab a bite to eat at one of many downtown restaurants. The Truckee Downtown Merchant’s Association sponsors this Lake Tahoe annual event. It’s usually held over a weekend in mid-September, and there’s no entrance fee – just bring yourself and an enthusiastic attitude about arts and crafts.
