Every summer, Classical Tahoe brings four weeks of world-class jazz and classical music performance to the beautiful campus of the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village.
Here, musicians from the finest orchestras in North America, including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, L.A. Philharmonic and more, perform under the magnificent pines of the north shore of Lake Tahoe. As music fills the alpine air and sunsets paint the Sierra, Reno Tahoe visitors enjoy nature and artistry as they unite in an unforgettable summer celebration.
Classical Tahoe patrons and donors are college educated, high income, and arts focused. They travel, donate, seek culture and improvement, and care about community.
The Classical Tahoe Music Institute provides education and engagement to students and the community through major programs including the Brubeck Jazz Summit, Classical Tahoe Academy, Musikgarten, Family Concert, and more. Featured Classical Tahoe performances are accessible to viewers worldwide through the PBS Reno broadcast series, “Classical Tahoe”.
Now in its 15th season, Classical Tahoe continues to grow in size and scope, this year bringing more than 60 musicians to delight more than 5,000 Reno Tahoe residents and visitors.
