Bite American Tapas has a laid-back, modern feel with soft lighting, natural wood accents and a friendly vibe. Their wraparound concrete bar is well stocked and has a great list of creative craft cocktails, many containing house-made shrubs, syrups and infusions. Try the Dire Wolf made with bourbon, amaro, apricot liqueur, mint and lemon or try their Absinthe Sampler. Their small plate, shareable menu offers small bites like bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese. Most popular from the Sliders list are the BLT (bacon, lobster and tomato) and the Ahi Slider. Bite also serves larger share plates such as fish tacos, sweet chile glazed ribs and scallops with romesco served over grilled corn grits. They have a well-thought-out wine list to match the cuisine. At Bite you can start out small with a couple of plates and just keep ordering dishes until you’ve had your fill. There are also bites for dessert. Bite is open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
