Taste the finest of Tahoe while doing good at the Best of Tahoe Chefs. Each year, the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation hosts a black-tie gala that highlights the area’s top chefs, all to raise funds for the Patient and Family Programs at the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center. These talented culinary artists pour their passion and abilities into crafting elaborate menus that show off each chef’s strength. The gala is a deliciously classy opportunity to learn about and meet more than 20 local chefs as you cycle through their different stations at each course, each its own distinct culinary experience. The event opens with a wine tasting that features products from premier wineries, each tasting paired with appetizers from the chefs. A live auction will be held between each dinner course, and a silent auction will be offered throughout the evening. This annual event is usually held the first weekend in June.
