Crystal Bay and Incline Village attractions actually mostly center in on Incline ... though some might argue that people watching at the two casinos is a Crystal Bay attraction. Such a wondrously interesting mix of human beings! And, there's also such a historical, attracting aspect to these casinos since they are genuine throwbacks to the years when Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack and glamour permeated a throw of the dice or pull of a slot machine along the shore of North Lake Tahoe.
Incline Village attractions hold hands with the natural beauty surrounding the town for the most part. The three exceptions we note here – Thunderbird Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Area Regional Transit system and the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival – are all tangentially linked to nature since they wouldn’t be here without the beauty that drew people to the area in the first place.
After soaking up the sunshine and fresh air from your outdoor adventures, go visit the Incline Village attraction, the Thunderbird Lake Tahoe, a lakeside estate that was built in 1936 and is today a lovely spot for weddings and other events. Tours are provided of the grounds and house. The Thunderbird Lake Tahoe’s eccentric owner even kept a pet elephant named Mingo on the estate.
Incline Village Attractions Include Beaches
A popular Incline Village attraction is her beaches. Rocky alcoves and sheltering boulders surround coves of soft sand. The privacy of some of them has helped spur another natural “attraction,” which is nude sunbathing. Isn’t that just like the Tahoe vibe! Sand Harbor is a natural area where you can snorkel, swim, hike, launch a boat and more and that is also the renowned home of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival. This Incline Village attraction is an annual summertime nod to the Bard. And no self-respecting Tahoe town would be without snow sports options! Diamond Peak Ski Resort was the first resort in the West to have snow-making capability!
