Our annual Halloween Parade returns this Friday Oct. 25th! Join us downtown from 4:30pm-6:30pm for trick or treating, and then parade through downtown Truckee to the Community Art Center at 6pm. Then trick or treat through the Community Art Center for candy.
Big Truck Day is on Saturday 10/19! Join us at the Town Corporation Yard from 11am-2pm for an up close look at all kinds of big trucks, provided by partnering agencies.
NASA has not been successful in going to Mars. Why not have a group of children go instead? The Mission to Mars Camp experience would simulate what it would take to go one trip to Mars, set up a city and live there. Join us on Saturdays this Fall.
The annual Spring Egg Hunt returns on Saturday March 30th! Join us at Truckee River Regional Park at 11am for the Bunny, and 11:30am for the Egg Hunt. Following the Hunt, we will be hosting the Winter Games, so bring your sleds, skis, snowboards, and snowshoes for some free family fun!
We still have spots available in our Youth Volleyball Leagues. This league is a fun and competitive opportunity for children to learn and improve their volleyball skills. We offer leagues for grades 3 through 8.
Challenge yourself to a new type of water fun in the group sport of synchronized swimming. Learn water stunts, modified stroke technics and coordinated patterns with your classmates. The art of water ballet uses both strength and grace.
Fall Registration for Kids Korner (new families) is tomorrow from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. All new families must register in person at Glenshire Elementary or the Community Recreation Center.
Summer Registration is right around the corner, and with that comes swim lessons. Registration for all swim classes will open on May 11th. There will be no May 9th registration for swim classes, even if your child is enrolled in a local school.
We have extended our evening Aqua Fit class through April! Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm - 7pm at the Truckee Community Pool for a great, low impact workout.
