Tahoe Yacht Club has evolved over the years into a year-round organization offering a wide range of social and outdoor activities. Membership includes full-time Lake Tahoe residents, and members from Northern California and beyond who spend part-time at the Lake. The Club has active spring and summer sailing and power boating programs and groups interested in golf, tennis and bocce ball. For individual use, members have access to kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and a fleet of Pico, Sunfish and Laser sailboats. In the winter the TYC Penguins ski together at local ski areas. Year round, there is an active social schedule of bridge games, wine tastings, dinners, events marking special occasions such as the Kentucky Derby, Super Bowl Sunday, New Year’s and the very popular monthly First Friday parties with excellent hosted hors d’oeuvres.
