Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (ID: 68-0356566) was instigated in 1995 by Charlie Lincoln who held a meeting at his store, “World’s Toughest” running and triathlon store. Larry Brilliant was elected the first President of the Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club. A quarter century later TMMRC continues to offer some of the most iconic trail and road races in Northern Nevada. TMM puts on many fine running events throughout the year, contributing proceeds to both local and national charities. Our biggest event of the year, the TRT 50K, 50 mile and 100 mile brings in world-class runners from all over the world. Another favorite race is the Nevada Day Classic, where runners and walkers complete a 2 mile or 8K course before the Nevada Day Parade. The last half mile of which funnels down the parade route as hot air balloons take off and early bird parade onlookers set up for the impending start of the parade. Because Nevada Day officially falls on Halloween, costumes are highly encouraged and rewarded.
