All aboard A Liar's Cruise for one of Tahoe's most entertaining fall traditions! Spend a crisp autumn afternoon cruising the lake while listening to a cast of captivating storytellers spin tales that range from unbelievable to undeniably true. The challenge? Deciding which stories are fact and which are pure fiction.

Along the way, enjoy an abundance of gourmet appetizers and sip award-winning wines generously provided by Highway 12 Winery. You'll also have the opportunity to bid on unique local experiences, getaway packages, and other coveted auction items, all while supporting the work of the Sierra State Parks Foundation.

When: Boarding at 3:30 PM | Departure at 4:00 PM (Returns ~6:00 PM)

Join the community for Under the Tahoe Stars on October 1st at Northstar! Presented by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce alongside Tahoe Star Tours and the Truckee Cultural District, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather around the fire and explore distant galaxies through powerful telescopes.

From curious chickarees and colorful Western Tanagers to our iconic black bears, Lake Tahoe’s local wildlife is an incredible part of what makes our region so unique.
Our Tahoe California State Parks are some of the best spots to experience these animals in their natural habitat!
When you're out exploring, remembering to respect wildlife from a safe distance keeps both you and our local species safe. A great trick to remember is the Rule of Thumb 👍-- Hold your arm straight out in front of you and give a thumbs-up. Close one eye and try to cover the animal with your thumb. If you can still see the animal around your thumb, you’re too close—take a few steps back!
