After an unforgettable Donny Hathaway tribute, we’re now gearing up for our holiday concert — “Home for the Holidays” — on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. in the School of Music at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Nightingale Concert Hall. Joining the RJO on stage:

The incredible Morgan James will join the Reno Jazz Orchestra for “The Music of Nina Simone.” Morgan will present her soulful connection to Nina Simone for a night of classic soul and jazz music through her sensational vocals noted by The New York Times as “soul deep.” Rolling Stone ranked Nina Simone as “one of the greatest singers of all time,” and her vibrant career will come to life through the sultry and striking vocal talents of Morgan James with RJO’s vibrant jazz and blues vibrations.

Let us tell you!➡️ Matt is a songwriter, solo artist, pop/rock bandleader, and Sinatra-style crooner having spent over two decades onstage and in the writing room. He is the lead singer of The Matt Mauser Big Band in Orange County, California, and the popular, eclectic cover band Tijuana Dogs. Mauser has also appeared on America’s Got Talent and performs regularly with 16-time GRAMMY award winner David Foster. Don’t miss out on an evening of Sinatra and Basie!
