Born out of a mobile catering grill, Gus’ Open Pit Barbecue is not your usual barbecue joint. Gus’ employs a traditional Santa Maria style barbecue. Tri-tip seasoned with a dry rub is slow grilled over an open fire of red oak. It’s served without sauce so you can enjoy the full flavor of the meat. Sides of green salad, garlic bread and pinquito beans from the central coast complete the Santa Maria experience. They still have that mobile grill for all your catering needs. In addition to their food, they also offer a variety of specialty cocktails, whiskey, beer wine and more in their Loft Bar with a spectacular 140" video wall to watch your favorite games.
Gaviota's Cocktail and Gaming Lounge is their newest hidden gem. There isn't a password, but you will have to find the hidden red door to have some fun. It is under the same roof as Gus' but it is separate enough that it feels like you are in another world. Featured are fifteen different video gaming machines, including favorites of poker, black jack, keno and more!
