Tahoe Things to Do: Yoga

Given that there are more than 30 studios where you can take a Lake Tahoe yoga class, you can rest assured that, no matter where you live or are staying, there will be a place to spread your mat. This area is certainly known for it’s active, more adrenaline-pumping sports, but it’s also known to be a place where the consciousness and peace of this ancient practice is revered. Not that Lake Tahoe yoga classes can’t be physically challenging too! Let us tell you – a 90-minute class of hot yoga (or, shoot, even Vinyasa flow) class will kick your butt. But, unlike other classes where the kicking is also going on, you have that lovely Shavasana at the end of class to pull all the good from your practice into yourself. You can locate a Lake Tahoe yoga class in rec center, at resorts, in healing centers, in a variety of studios around the area, at a cool farm with rescue animals, at a global annual festival and even on top of paddleboards. So many of these Lake Tahoe yoga centers have views of Big Blue or of the mountains, creating a tranquil and gorgeous backdrop. Come be on your mat. We’ll meet you there.
