After a pause since 2020, TCPUD resumed in-person trail surveys in 2025, collecting 341 in-person responses and 194 online surveys from trail users like you. Survey results confirm that TCPUD trails are a beloved and widely used recreation and transportation for residents and visitors alike.

Here's what we learned:
• 98% of users rated their trail experience as Good or Excellent
• 96% say our trails greatly enhance their enjoyment of North Lake Tahoe
• E-bike use has grown with 55% of bike users reporting they now use e-bikes at least sometimes, up from just 11% in 2019
• 40% reporting using the trails in winter
Whether you bike, walk, jog, or commute on our 23-mile trail network, your input matters. These findings will guide future improvements to keep our trails safe, accessible, and exceptional for everyone.

Storms don’t stop our crews or our commitment to keeping water flowing. 💪❄️After a fallen tree damaged a power pole and cut electricity to one of our wells, TCPUD utilities crews mobilized by snowmobile, hauling in repair supplies and getting to work during and after the storm. Thanks to their skill, determination, and teamwork, the damage was repaired quickly and water service continued without disruption to our customers. Way to go team!
