The Tahoe Chamber Music Society is a (501c3) non-profit performing arts organization that has presented free chamber recitals to the Northern Nevada/Lake Tahoe region for 43 years. Aaron Paxson, former Artistic Director of the organization, made it his central focus to present six concerts every summer free of charge so that any who had interest could attend.

Our current mission is to enrich the cultural landscape of Reno/Tahoe by hosting free chamber music recitals performed by the finest local and national talent, and cultivate sustainable audience growth through educational outreach.

The Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA) is a non-profit, 501 C6 corporation founded in 2004. We are made up of local merchants, property owners, community associations, residents, professionals and contributors who work together to formulate, direct and forge a sound and prosperous future for Tahoe City and the rest of North Lake Tahoe. We invite you to get involved in supporting the TCDA and its goals as a member, sponsor and/or volunteer. Your participation is vital to the success of our organization and of Tahoe City at large.

The Tahoe Climate Change Action Network is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization. The goal of the Tahoe Climate Change Action Network is to advocate and provide support for renewable energy, sustainability projects and climate change mitigation strategies that fight climate change and improve the community both environmentally and economically.

During the winter, Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless provides overnight refuge from the elements at the Warm Room. The Warm Room provides a safe and warm environment for adult men and women who are experiencing homelessness.

It is hard to be homeless, but especially during the winter in an alpine environment like South Lake Tahoe.  Many of our homeless have roots in the community, work here, have family here, went to school here.  Our cold and snowy winters are not only uncomfortable, but life-threatening  Lack of affordable housing, living wages, and steady employment contribute to homelessness.  With the Warm Room, we keep our neighbors without shelter where they belong: in their community among their friends and families.

We are giving priority to North Tahoe community members who have been laid off or had their work hours reduced. Confirmation of unemployment from your employer may be required and assistance is paid directly to the landlord, utility company or other vendor. Tahoe Family Solutions or “TFS” is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, providing low/no cost services to children and families living along the Lake Tahoe Basin.
