On the Nevada side of South Shore, once you get past the casinos, things are pretty much spread out and sparse with a couple of small centers of commerce such as lower Kingsbury and Round Hill. This can be to the savvy diner’s advantage, because the really good restaurants are tucked out of the way and you don’t have to fight the crowds of tourists for a great meal. This is the case with Toast, just off of the mountain side of the highway between Round Hill and Zephyr Cove. It could be called either casually elegant or elegantly casual. Either way, it’s fine dining in a warm setting, perfect for an adult friends get-together or a big family meal. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes First-time guests be sure to try the clam chowder or the Brie puffs.
