Are you a passionate paddler with the urge to compete? Check out the Waterman’s Paddle Challenge, the second event in the Tahoe Cup Paddle Racing Series. This Lake Tahoe annual event brings lovers of paddling to Carnelian Bay in Kings Beach for a 6-mile race in the open water. The Waterman’s Paddle Challenge is open to all paddling craft, and everyone is invited to compete, whether you’re a newbie to the sport or a professional. This is a popular event with good turnouts including local paddlers and world renowned athletes. Even if you’re not a paddler, you can still come out to cheer on participants. After the race enjoy free demos at the finish line. In addition to the Waterman’s Paddle Challenge, this Lake Tahoe annual event includes the Annual Keike Challenge, a free paddleboard race for boys and girls ages 1 to 11. You can register online to compete in the Waterman’s Paddle Challenge or you can sign up the day of the event. This portion of the Tahoe Cup Paddle Racing Series takes place in early July.
