Walking into Tacos Jalisco is like stepping into a small family kitchen on the outskirts of Guadalajara. The authentic tortas, tostadas, burritos and street-style tacos can be filled with your choice of carne asada, pork adobada, beef barbacoa, chicken, chili verde or other exotic delicacies. Fill your belly with tamales, enchiladas, flautas, sopes or ceviche. Stop in on the weekend for the menudo or pozole specialties. Got a hangover or a head cold? Try the torta ahogada as a cure. It’s a sandwich – native to Guadalajara – of pork carnitas and raw onions drowned in a spicy chili pepper sauce, and it’s hot! Tacos Jalisco is not a big restaurant, but each of their locations serves up authentic food.
