Formerly known as the South Tahoe Express and now going by the moniker of the South Tahoe Airporter, this is a shuttle service from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Reno that travels U.S. 395 South to U.S. Highway 50 in Carson City, up over Spooner Summit, with stops at six South Tahoe locations and then back to Reno. The one-way trip is roughly a bit over an hour (or longer, depending upon the specific Tahoe stop that you are using) and the locations for drop off and pick up in South Shore are the Lakeside Inn, the Hard Rock Hotel, Harveys, the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, Harrah's and Mont Bleu. Reservations are required to guarantee a seat, although walk-ons are accepted based on seat availability. Tickets can be purchased online, at the airport or at any of the six Tahoe stops. The South Tahoe Airporter runs nearly a dozen trips back and forth over the course of the day.
