The town of Truckee sits at an elevation of 5,830 feet above sea level. With that bit information a group of local artisans named their artist collective Gallery 5830’. The gallery is housed within a downtown Truckee space as artfully constructed as the items found inside. Just check out the natural handrail leading to the upstairs section of the space and you’ll understand the aesthetic of Gallery 5830’. Handcrafted items include blown glassware, pottery and paintings as well as blacksmithed sculptures and figures from more than 20 different artists.
