William Kent Campground is unique in that it is only 2 miles from Tahoe City and is set within a local neighborhood. As a bonus, the sites are all private as the natural terrain shields each site from the other. Immersed within thick Tahoe forest, the 80 campsites all come with campfire rings, picnic tables and grills. There are flushing toilets and potable drinking water. You will also find a dump station for campers and RVs, food storage bins and firewood for sale. The campground is only open in the summer. A nice aspect to William Kent Campground is its proximity to the shores of Lake Tahoe (it's just across the street) and its easy access to the bike paths that encircle a part of the lake. In addition, there is also a day-use area, and visitors should plan to pack it in and pack it out and to leave no trace.
