With skiing located just above on Donner Summit (and around Tahoe’s north shore), Donner Lake Village Resort is without a doubt a four-season lodge, but summer is when things really shine. Combining full condo-style accommodations right on the shore of Donner Lake with an on-site marina, Donner Lake Village is the epicenter of watersports fun. Lodging includes a variety of spacious options from studios and one-bedrooms to full-on 1,000- to 1,200-square-foot townhouses. Depending on your preference many of the options have lake views. Amenities include balconies, free WiFi and rollaway beds for the kids. Guests can rent kayaks and paddleboards on site, while those looking for faster fun can rent powerboats and personal watercraft.
