You’ve got three options when dining at Hiro Sushi in Kings Beach: You can sit at the bar in front and enjoy happy hour specials, take a table and be waited on or get a seat at the sushi bar and fill your belly from their all-you-can-eat sushi menu. The dining room is well-lit with Japanese-themed murals on the walls and a big tank of exotic fish for your viewing pleasure. Choose from the wide variety of fresh sashimi or nigiri or the even wider selection of maki rolls. Specialties include the Hawaiian Roll with maguro, mango, macadamia nuts and avocado, or the Carlos’ Special – calamari, salmon and crab stick rolled up with cream cheese and lemon. You’d better eat fast though; the one-hour limit on the all-you-can-eat sushi is strictly enforced. Not into seafood? Get yourself a chicken or steak bento box dinner. If you choose to eat at Hiro Sushi, try to get there at 5 p.m., right when they open, to ensure that you get a seat. This place fills up fast.
