Goose Meadow Campground is a basic camping area situated between Highway 89 and the Truckee River. Although traffic noise can be loud due to the proximity to the highway, this is a great campground for fly fisherman with the banks of the river only a few steps away. Another bonus of this campground is the easy accessibility to the restaurants, bars and night attractions in both Truckee (4 miles away) and Squaw Valley (6 miles away). Each of the 25 sites has a campfire ring, grill, picnic table and bear box for food. There is potable water and public toilets to use as well. This campground is only open in the summer.
