The "cloud" in the name Cloud Sushi isn't about the elevation of this Truckee restaurant. It's all about the way to order one's food – online only. Chef-owner Josh Brown doesn't even list a phone number. While most of the orders are take-out, patio tables may be reserved when ordering. Walk-up service is available, but the wait will be longer, and a table may not be available. The Cloud Nine Roll is the most popular item on what is an impressive menu for a small location. This is tempura green onion and avocado topped with hamachi, sesame, crispy nori and yuzu tobiko, sweet ponzu on side. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians as well. Chef Brown is also a private chef and can cater your event.
