Budget Rent a Car and Avis are sister organizations, so it's no surprise that Budget joins Avis in offering car rentals from the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel right on the main route through Stateline and South Lake Tahoe just on the California side of the casino corridor. Budget may have grown up in the Midwest, but the company was born right here in the Golden State nearly 60 years ago. But this is definitely not an airport car rental office with hours from early morning to late at night. Instead, expect normal business hours during the week and a smaller window of availability during the weekend.
