People in Tahoe love the way this area’s mountains meet the sky, and the Broken Arrow Sky Race is your chance to reach that zenith. This European-inspired mountain run puts professional and recreational athletes’ strength to the test as they scale mountains, scuttle down steep terrain and navigate the ongoing series of dramatic vertical gains and losses – almost all while 6,000 feet above the treeline. The five routes (52K, 26K, 11K, the Vertical K and the Kids’ Race) showcase stunning views of the beautiful Lake Tahoe. In between showing off your agility during this three-day event, enjoy delicious cuisine, craft beer, music festivals and family-friendly activities in the company of your fellow runners at the Village at Palisades Tahoe. This annual event usually takes place during the third weekend in June.
