Whether you live at Tahoe or you are in town visiting, when you go to Base Camp Pizza Co. you are on vacation. It’s located in the Heavenly Village, so right off the bat there’s the relaxed resort-town atmosphere. Both the inside and outside are inviting with a rustic-wood decor, and the outside also has some nice fire pits for the chilly Tahoe evenings. Drinks are served in Mason jars, and there’s live entertainment every day, mostly on the small outdoor stage, although they have a small indoor setup as well. The pizza is gourmet, and the garlic fries are insanely good. But be prepared! Due to its popularity the wait time for a table at Base Camp can be pretty long, and if you hit it at the wrong time, you may be cooling your heels for a while.
