Get a taste of Squaw Valley’s culture with two days of artwork, wine and melodies. The Art, Wine & Music Festival, held in the Village at Squaw Valley, is a chance to enjoy some of Lake Tahoe’s sophisticated offerings. This Lake Tahoe annual event starts at 11 a.m. and extends until 5 p.m., making it ideal for either a quick visit or daylong activity. Browse the art booths and exhibits that line the walkways and fill the restaurants and shops. Meet the artists and craftspeople who created the beautiful works and directly buy from them. Check out the talented, local musicians performing on the three stages present at the event. Wine tastings are held from 2 to 5 p.m., letting you sample the products of regional wineries. Maybe you’ll even pick out a new favorite brand to take home with you. The best part of this Lake Tahoe annual event is that it benefits Achieve Tahoe, an organization that provides inclusive physical and recreational activities at affordable prices. You’ll be having fun while helping a great cause. The Art, Wine & Music Festival is usually held in early July and admission is free.
